The US University Fair – Join the World’s Best

As it has for two decades, Fulbright Greece hosted its 21st US University Fair in Athens, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, on October 5, 2015. More than 500 students, parents, high school and university counselors attended.

Nicholas Tourides, Educational Advisor/American Program Coordinator presented on U.S. Undergraduate Studies to a group of 16 top high school students who were selected from the region for an intense summer academic program.

Fulbright Greece participated in an outreach event at the National Research Foundation “Demokritos” at its Summer School 2016 and delivered a presentation on U.S. Graduate Studies and the Fulbright Scholarship program.

Pre-Departure Orientation Session in Athens – EducationUSA

The Fulbright Foundation in Greece hosted its annual Pre-Departure Orientation session on June 23, 2015. The “Session” takes place each year in mid to late June and includes presentations by students currently studying in the United States, Fulbright scholars and Fulbright Greece’s educational adviser and deals with a variety of topics on US education and culture.

Fulbright Grantees Pre-Departure Orientation

On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, all current Fulbright grantees were invited to the Foundation’s office to take part in the annual pre-departure orientation, an important informative session that prepares the grantees for their US stay and study. The event was attended by a number of US Embassy staff members, by Fulbright alumni, and by guests from the United States academic world.

Catherine Rogers: Is There a Doctor in the House: When Creative Writing Meets Medicine

During the month of October 2013, Catherine Rogers collaborated with the Dr Tatiani Rapatzikou and Professor Liana Sakelliou, to develop a syllabus for the new creative writing course "Understanding Illness and Trauma Experience through Narrative" introducing the methods and techniques of Narrative Medicine as developed and practiced by Dr. Rita Charon MD, PhD at Columbia University, New York.

Educating for the Modern Global Economy – Salzburg Global Seminar

On Saturday October 5, 2013, Salzburg Global Seminar in collaboration with Fulbright Foundation Greece, with additional support from the Greek Politics Specialist Group, organized a symposium in Athens at the Cotsen Hall of the Gennadius Library, to examine educational issues both in the context of Greece and the world at large.
