Application closes on January 31: Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program

Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program (GDFP): a new initiative to engage Greek-born faculty members at universities in the U.S. and Canada to collaborate with Greek educational institutions.

The GDFP, which is funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and implemented and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in collaboration with the Fulbright Foundation - Greece, aims to support 40 US and Canada based Greek-born academics to partner with Greek Universities over two application cycles. The selected Fellows will work in the areas of curriculum co-development, collaborative research and/or graduate student teaching/mentoring. The first application cycle for project requests from Greek universities and Greek-born scholars ends September 1, 2016. The second cycle will begin on September 5, 2016 and closes on January 31, 2017. Greek-born scholars with connections to Greek institutions of higher learning can submit their names to the GDFP roster and collaborate with a potential host on a Project Request. Scholars who do not have a preexisting relationship with an institution in Greece are encouraged to submit to the scholar roster. They may be contacted if a Project Request is submitted by a Greek university that matches their discipline/specializations. You can learn more about the GDFP at www.iie.org/greekdiaspora  or by emailing .
