Organized by the Fulbright Foundation in collaboration with the American Community Schools of Athens (program to be announced).

The Fulbright Foundation in Greece is engaging with its alumni community through partnerships with local TEDx events and, next March, with the Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development. Fulbright Alumna and renowned poet and translator, Katerina Anghelaki-Rooke, talked on the main stage of TEDxAthens about her poetry. Also present was Marianthi Liapi, Fulbright Alumna, who talked about the Educational Pla(y)ces Group at the Transformable Intelligent Environments Laboratory (TUC TIE Lab). The Laboratory engages architects with teachers and their students through creative, hands-on learning activities that have a dynamic, positive spatial imprint. Dr. Theoklis Zaoutis, current U.S. Fulbright Visiting Scholar to Greece, Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, Director of the Graduate Clinical Epidemiology Program at Pennsylvania University (UPENN) and Chief of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Philadelphia Pediatric Hospital (CHOP), talked on the TEDxPatras stage about the Global Threat of Antibiotic Resistance.

The Foundation has created a platform on the 100 mentors site, co-founded by Fulbright Alumnus, Yiorgos Nikoletakis, as a global educational alumni network. Fulbright Greece grantees and alumni are invited to sign up to the Fulbright Foundation Greece platform and to create a professional profile so that grantees can meet alumni and benefit from their experiences in order to prepare for their own U.S. stay. It also allows grantees and alumni to seek out each other for information about U.S. institutions, for contacts when traveling, and for potential collaborations. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, you can contact Els Siakos Hanappe at for an invitation.
