Το Ίδρυμα Fulbright, σε συνεργασία με το Ινστιτούτο Σύγχρονης Ελληνικής Τέχνης - ΙΣΕΤ (Βαλαωρίτου 9α, Αθήνα), σας προσκαλεί στον Κύκλο Ομιλιών από Καλλιτέχνες Fulbright Alumni. Η εκδήλωση θα ξεκινήσει με μια σύντομη παρουσίαση του προγράμματος υποτροφιών Fulbright και θα ακολουθήσει παρουσίαση της δουλειάς των καλλιτεχνών και συζήτηση με θέμα την εμπειρία τους στις ΗΠΑ με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Fulbright.
Σκοπός της συνάντησης είναι να αποσαφηνιστούν στους εν δυνάμει υποτρόφους –φοιτητές και αποφοίτους των εκπαιδευτικών ιδρυμάτων και καλλιτέχνες – έννοιες όπως η «διασύνδεση» και η «ανταλλαγή» μέσα από προσωπικές αφηγήσεις. Οι καλλιτέχνες θα μιλήσουν για τα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα που τους φιλοξένησαν, την αξία της μαθητείας τους στο εξωτερικό, τα διδάγματα που άντλησαν από την εμπειρία τους στις ΗΠΑ –μεταξύ άλλων σε επαγγελματικό, τεχνικό, κοινωνικό επίπεδο – τα ακαδημαϊκά ή/και επαγγελματικά οφέλη, καθώς και για τις συνεργασίες και τα πρότζεκτ που προέκυψαν από την παραμονή τους εκεί.

Project Space of the Athens School of Fine Arts
The Fulbright Foundation in Greece, in collaboration with the Careers Office of the Athens School of Fine Arts, invites alumni from the Fulbright Artists Programs to Circuits & Currents - Project Space of the Athens School of Fine Arts (Notara 13 & Tositsa Streets), for a short presentation of their work and a roundtable discussion on their U.S. experience as a Fulbright grantee.
The presentations and discussion will be held in Greek with an English component.
Purpose of the meeting is to clarify to potential candidates - students and alumni of the Athens School of Fine Arts – concepts such as ‘affiliation’ and ‘exchange’ through personal accounts. Artists will talk about their host institutions, the importance of studying abroad, lessons learned from the U.S. - professionally, technically, socially, etc. -, academic and/or professional benefits, and collaborations and projects that flowed from their U.S. stay.
After a brief introduction to the Fulbright scholarship program for artists (including graduate and doctoral students, artists, and artist residency) by Greek Program Coordinator, Els Siakos Hanappe, the stage will be given to the Fulbright alumni artists:
