Christos Fragkos is a Computer Science teacher in Greek primary public schools, with a distinguished career in both secondary and primary education since 2006, serving in the region of Attica and across the Greek islands. He recently earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business, under the supervision of Professor Klas Eric Soderquist. His dissertation focused on Telehealth Adoption in the Greek Healthcare System. He holds an M.Sc. in Information Systems from the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and a B.Sc. in Informatics from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. In recognition of his academic excellence during postgraduate studies, he received scholarships from both the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and the Athens University of Economics and Business.
As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Fragkos aims to explore how Computer Science education should evolve in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. He advocates for a redefinition of Computer Science curricula—one that goes beyond the traditional emphasis on technical skills. He envisions an interdisciplinary approach that integrates principles from the humanities and classical studies, equipping students not only with digital competence but also with the critical thinking skills needed to understand both the transformative potential and the ethical challenges of emerging technologies.
