Education Destination Greece: Welcome Orientation for the 2018-2019 U.S. Fulbright Fellows

The academic year traditionally starts off with welcome orientation sessions for the incoming 2018-2019 U.S. Fulbright Fellows. At the beginning of September, the HAEF Teaching Fellows gather at the Fulbright office and toward the end of the month, they join their fellow grantees for a welcome reception and a two-day program.
The Fulbright Foundation Greece participated in the 83rd Thessaloniki Greece International Fair. Fulbright alumni volunteered to assist staff members during the busy fair days. The outstanding Fulbright stand was designed by barespace.
Fulbright Greece is proud to announce that it has added this new scholarship program to its core program. The semester-long professional development program is now available for U.S. and for Greek primary and secondary teachers.

For its 70th Anniversary, the Fulbright Foundation Greece commissioned a number of Fulbright Scholars video portraits and a Fulbright documentary film. The video features were met with great acclaim from an international audience.
On April 26-27 and in partnership with ACS Athens and SNFCC, Fulbright organized a two-day educational forum. Allan Goodman, President of the Institute of International Education, was invited as keynote speaker.
As part of its 70th Anniversary, the Fulbright Foundation in collaboration with other institutions organized a series of events including lectures, conferences and educational activities, to celebrate its history and its mission.
More than 450 guests gathered at the Gennadius Library Gardens on June 13 to attend the 70th Anniversary Awards Ceremony Honoring Fulbright Scholars and Donors. Fulbright Alumni Dr. Harris Pastides, Ambassador Mara Marinakis and Dr. Carol Becker were among the speakers.
On April 23, Fulbright scholarship recipients, Fulbright Greece Board Members and staff were invited to the Presidential Mansion in Athens to commemorate the signing of the bilateral treaty between the U.S.A. and Greece.
