Alexandra Odunuga graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science, and minors in Public Policy and History of Law and Policy. Throughout her education, she developed a passion for international education, cultural exchange, and the ways language and communication connect communities around the world. Her academic interests have centered on global affairs, human rights, criminal justice, and access to education, with a focus on the role of education in expanding opportunities and addressing inequities. During her time at the University of Michigan, Alexandra pursued opportunities that expanded her understanding of intercultural learning.

As a U.S. Department of Education Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) scholar, she studied Yoruba through an intensive language program, exploring the relationship between language, identity, and culture. She also studied abroad at Sciences Po in Paris and at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, where she explored international perspectives on politics, history, and society while immersing herself in new cultural and academic environments. During her time abroad, she had the opportunity to visit Greece for the first time, an experience that motivated her to return and learn more about the country’s history, culture, and educational traditions. Alexandra’s passion for education and mentorship has developed through years of working with students and youth communities. As a tutor, she led a Haitian Outreach program where she taught English to French-speaking Haitian students. In another tutoring role, she provided academic support to underserved students, and she has also worked with children in educational and community settings. All of these experiences proved the power of education to create supportive spaces where students feel comfortable exploring new ideas, building confidence, and developing new perspectives.

As an English Teaching Assistant at St. Catherine’s British School, Alexandra is excited to support students’ English language development while learning from Greece’s history, culture, and educational traditions. She looks forward to becoming part of the St. Catherine’s community, sharing aspects of American culture, and building relationships through the power of education and cultural exchange.

Chloe graduated from Brown University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. At Brown, Chloe also immersed herself in Modern Greek studies, taking four years of Greek language classes and studying abroad in Thessaloniki. There, Chloe volunteered as an English tutor for Greek students with learning difficulties. She spent two summers working at Outer Coast, a small postsecondary institution in Sitka, Alaska, where she had previously studied, helping run a seminar program to bring college-level academics to a diverse group of high-school students.

Chloe is thrilled to be returning for her second year as an English Teaching Assistant in Athens, having spent the 2025-2026 school year as a Fulbright Fellow at the Athens College junior high school. She is excited to continue developing her skills as an educator during this next year at St. Catherine’s British School. Chloe is an expert-level competitive Scrabble player who is ranked in the top 20 in North America, a skill she is excited to share with students at St. Catherine’s. She loves crossword puzzles, hiking, reading, and exploring the many hills and nooks of Athens.
