Paraskevi Melisi is an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher in public secondary education in Greece, currently serving at the 2nd General Senior High School of Aigio, Achaia, Peloponnese. She holds a degree in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a Master’s degree in Education and Technologies in Distance Teaching and Learning Systems from the Hellenic Open University. With more than twenty years of teaching experience, Paraskevi has taught in diverse and often remote settings across the Aegean islands, an experience that has shaped her adaptable, student-centered approach and deep commitment to inclusive education. She actively integrates intercultural awareness, civic engagement, and international collaboration into her teaching. She has coordinated a wide range of initiatives, including Erasmus+ partnerships, eTwinning projects, and student participation in programs such as the Parliament for Teenagers, European Youth Parliament, Young Reporters for the Environment, and Speak Truth to Power, supporting her students in achieving national and international distinctions.

Through Fulbright, she hopes to further explore U.S. culture, literature, and democratic values and bring these insights back to her school by developing new curriculum materials, establishing a student club on American Literature and Culture, and organizing international rhetoric and debate initiatives that foster dialogue and critical thinking. Outside the classroom, Paraskevi enjoys an active and creative lifestyle, including swimming, trekking, pilates and yoga, while also finding inspiration in literature, travel, and meaningful cultural experiences.
