Letter from Greece

Letter from Greece

Dear Fulbright grantees, alumni, and friends,

As the year draws to a close and we enter the holiday season, we reflect with gratitude on all who support Fulbright Greece. Giving takes many forms—financial and in-kind contributions, as well as the gift of time and expertise through scholarship review and evaluation committees, advising, outreach programs, mentoring, and the dedicated leadership of the Fulbright Greece Board.  Each act of giving, large or small, carries lasting value and strengthens our collective impact.

Educational exchange remains one of the most powerful tools to foster mutual understanding and growth. When students, scholars, educators, artists, and professionals cross borders to learn in new cultural contexts, they return with more than academic knowledge. They bring perspectives that enrich institutions, classrooms, workplaces, and communities. Education inspires innovation, promotes economic growth, and social cohesion. Investing in education benefits individuals, strengthens communities, and builds civic-minded societies. These experiences spark dialogue, inspire others, and strengthen the social fabric of nations.

The Fulbright Scholarship Program, has long served as an educational and cultural bridge between Greece and the United States, reflecting a deep and enduring friendship grounded in shared democratic values and a mutual belief in the power of education.

We are grateful for the commitment of the U.S. and Greek governments, and for the generosity of our donors—foundations, corporations, associations, academic and educational partners, alumni, and friends—whose contributions sustain and amplify the Fulbright mission. This combination of public and private support continues to advance Fulbright’s mission of fostering education, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding.

Thank you for being part of the Fulbright community. Your engagement ensures that the spirit of giving continues to thrive—today and for generations to come.

May the year ahead radiate with knowledge, understanding, and optimism, and may the Fulbright Program continue to grow and inspire hope for a better future through our remarkable grantees and alumni.

Warm regards,

Artemis Zenetou
Executive Director, Fulbright Greece
