Kevin Corcoran, Professor of Philosophy at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. Kevin’s research interests include consciousness, the philosophy of mind, metaphysics and the philosophy of religion. His published works center on the relation between human persons and their bodies, how various features of conscious experience are related to neurobiological functions within the brain, and whether conscious experiences are identical to physical processes in the brain. At the University of Crete in Rethymno, Kevin will team teach a graduate course in the philosophy of mind with a colleague from the host university, offer lectures at the Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme in Brain and Mind Sciences, and continue to work on a book project titled, Minds, Brains and Persons.
