Sarah is a Ph.D. Candidate in Classical Archaeology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her scholarly interests center on the the Bronze Age Aegean, urbanization, and the relationship between social groups and architectural space. Her dissertation, "From Houses to Communities: A Consideration of Mycenaean Social Structure" examines Late Bronze Age settlements of mainland Greece in order to better understand the relationship between Mycenaean residential space, social structure, and settlement patterns. With the Fulbright, Sarah will conduct dissertation research in Greece, including visiting numerous archaeological sites to assess their architectural remains, identify patterns, and model their development.
