Darya Kostikina recently earned her masters degree in K-12 Education Policy at Teachers College Columbia University. While there, she was a Zankel Fellow implementing a curriculum to develop argumentative thinking and writing skills among students in a local public middle school. Prior to attending Teachers College, Darya graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. and licensure to teach high school English. She is especially interested in bilingual education practice and policy, having spent several summers teaching at an ESL program in Boston in addition to having written her undergraduate thesis on teaching Shakespeare's Macbeth to English language learners. Darya will be returning to HAEF for a second year following her 2018-19 Fulbright grant.
