Ermanno Affuso is a Professor of Economics and Finance and the Chief Scientific Officer of SABRE at the University of South Alabama. An econometrician and data scientist specializing in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, he is visiting the Department of Economics at the University of Crete from January 15–28, 2025, as a Fulbright Specialist. During his time in Greece, Ermanno will deliver seminars on econometric forecasting of energy demand using advanced AI techniques, collaborate with faculty and doctoral students, and explore opportunities for joint research. His visit seeks to strengthen academic ties between the University of Crete and the University of South Alabama.
