Georgios Taxidis is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Visual And Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with grade “excellent”. He is a Merit Scholar from the New York Academy of Art for MFA studies. In 2013-14, he studied at the UCM Facultad de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain following the Erasmus program. He gained awards and honors in various art competitions and participated in many exhibitions. His works are found in several private collections in Greece and abroad. In 2012, he received praise for the competition of ELTA (Hellenic Post Office) for the publication of the special series of stamps “Europa 2012” titled “Visit Greece”. His current work is mainly focused on anthropocentric and realistic painting but he also explores new materials and media that often result in more subtractive pieces.
