I am the principal of the 1st Experimental School of Thessaloniki, Greece, linked to the Aristotle University. Moreover, I work as a project manager of European Projects at the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Makedonia as well as ICT trainer, Analyst, Consultant and Researcher on New Technologies and Innovation in Education. I believe that the Fulbright scholarship and the visit to the U.S. will encourage me to discover together with the fellow Fulbrighters, effective teaching and training practices, community-based work and new ways of thinking and learning. Thus, this life learning experience will support this dream of mine to change learning and teaching through novel and effective modes of instruction that will boost the students' talents and skills, so as these skills to be immediately and effectively applied in the society as well as the industry. Similarly, though my participation, I hope to disseminate my experience via portraying my work as well as publish and promote all the relevant experiences and practices gained from the program. These activities, I believe, will help and encourage many of my colleagues here in Greece so as to adopt new instruction methods and enhance the quality of their everyday teaching practices as well as promote students' deep and quality learning.
Additionally, I will also work on the creation of new courses upon novel learning practices that could lead to a curriculum redesign and the adoption of a diverse, flexible and effective pedagogy linked to the fast-changing society of the 21st century.
