My name is Alexandros Smyrniotis. I am currently an undergraduate student in the Department of Industrial Management and Technology (Management & Engineering). I am a results-oriented person but have also been described as humorous and pleasant to work with, by professors and peers alike. Music is also a big part of my everyday life. Playing the guitar and somewhat the piano, I have learned that there is no better way to relax than to let your mind drift into artistically harmonized soundwaves. My goal as an individual is to help shift industrial procedures into becoming environmentally friendlier, while also maintaining or even reducing their overall cost. Even if we find such a groundbreaking production system, the key factor for its implementation is of course the human factor. I am eager to join this year’s SUSI Program as it is a great opportunity to understand how to prepare the next generations for their new work environments but also reskill our existing personnel so they can sustain their level of expertise in an innovative, green, industrial society.
