Dimitris currently works as a trainee lawyer specializing in cases involving public and administrative law, criminal tax law and tax evasion penalties. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a degree in Economics from the American College of Greece-Deree. His research interests had for long revolved around Law and Economics and International Economic Law. In this respect, he followed several internships in public authorities and private Law Firms, aiming to acquire valuable legal experience.
Being a strong supporter of the idea that there is no liberty unless there is economic liberty, he decided to pursue a Master's degree at The University of Chicago, School of Law, aiming to examine further the relationship between Law and Economics and how this relationship can affect, not only the social and macroeconomic future of a country but also the protection of the fundamental socio-economic human rights.
After the completion of the program, Dimitris aims to pursue a legal career as a member of the judiciary, focusing on cases related to Tax Law and Public Finance Law.
