Cellular and Molecular Biology, National Institutes of Health, Baltimore, Maryland
2018-2019 Fulbright Visiting Research Student

The Fulbright experience was life-changing, both personally and professionally. As a Fulbright grantee of the 2018-2019 Doctoral Dissertation Visiting Research Students Program, I visited the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at NIDDK, NIH and I was involved with the academic community working on the field of RNA Biology. The time I spent at the NIH was one of the most productive of my life and the new techniques I have learned will potentially help me to improve the quality of the research conducted in our home laboratory, while enabling publication in high impact factor scientific journals. Furthermore, I had the chance to attend important international academic conferences, present part of my research and exchange ideas and scientific concerns with other young scientists. More than that, I feel that Fulbright Program gave me the opportunity to live in U.S.A., a country which always excited me in terms of excellence culture. Overall, I have gained a unique experience that constitutes a tremendous benefit for my career and I profoundly encourage colleagues to apply and pursue a Fulbright Foundation grant.
