Thank you for your interest in hosting a U.S. Scholar/professional.Preliminary AssessmentThis short-term Fulbright program offers the opportunity for host institutions—such as universities, research centers, museums, non-profits, and other educational organizations in Greece—to invite a US scholar and/or professional. Eligibility requirements and certain restrictions apply. A limited number of awards is available each academic year.
The registration form is the first step in assessing whether a host institution can proceed with the application. Prospective hosts must review the components of the Fulbright Specialist program before submitting their preliminary request to Fulbright Greece.

Prospective host institutions must ensure that the Fulbright Specialist candidate does not meet any of the following disqualifying criteria:
1. The Fulbright Specialist has received another grant in the past two years.2. The named Fulbright Specialist will no longer be on the Roster during the proposed dates and therefore is not eligible for a grant.3. The project is in an eligible field and does not contain a research component.
Approved projects are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Length of Grant TermThe Fulbright Specialist program is a cost-shared program. The host institution is requested to provide any assistance possible (housing, meals, in-country transportation, or a combination of these).If the proposal is approved and the host institution can fully cost-share, grants may range from 14 days to a maximum of 42 days (including two days of travel and weekends).If cost-sharing is not an option, Fulbright Greece may be able to cost-share for 14-16 days maximum.
