Train the Trainers Meeting in Thessaloniki 2016

On Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3, 2016, Fulbright Foundation Greece with the support of The Hellenic Initiative, invited all alumni from the scholarship programs for Secondary School Educators - the Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) program for Teachers and Administrators and the Greek Teachers Professional Development Program (2010), implemented by the George Mason University (GMU) - to Thessaloniki for a major Train the Trainers Meeting.

The meeting featured talks and interactive workshops, as well as informal sharing opportunities. Over a day and a half, the 16 SUSI and 11 GMU alumni who attended had the opportunity to present their Fulbright experience and share insights for making change happen on the ground.

In addition, two incoming US Scholars in the field of education, Professors Kendall Cotton Bronk and Melanie Shoffner, who were visiting the University of Ioannina, Greece and the Babes-Bolyai University, Romania, respectively, were invited as special guests to provide a theoretical background for current issues and topics.
