Lauren Thurmond (Educational Studies, MA, ’16) has attained a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Special Education. She received an internship as a Teacher’s Assistant at the California Science Center Summer Camp, and the following year became a lead instructor for third and fourth grade students. During her student teaching, she challenged students’ curiosity by creating hands-on activities. Lauren is now in her last year of her Master’s degree in Educational Studies. After graduation, she hopes to travel to Greece to create interactive lessons for students as a Teacher’s Assistant.
