As a second-year teaching fellow, Julia will continue to teach at Psychico College High School and will assist HAEF with implementing a new, globally-renowned interdisciplinary English curriculum. In addition to volunteering with PRAKSIS organization as a refugee children's center volunteer, Julia works with Repo(we)r Greece in their international diplomacy campaign to highlight Greece's innate talents, beauty, and potential. Before graduating from Union College in June 2015, Julia interned for a variety of political organizations, such as Inter Press Service (IPS) News Agency, where she wrote about human rights violations around the world, and the Center for American Progress (CAP) think tank, where she researched education policy issues in the United States. During her second year in Greece and beyond, she would like to continue pursuing her combined interests in education, human rights and community.
