Dr. Stephanos Kordosis’s research and teaching have focused on the history of Central Eurasia, particularly on the history of the Turkic Nations of the steppe lands from Central Europe to Northern China. For the past few years, Dr. Kordosis has been studying the historical dimensions of a Tibetan (with Turkic and Mongolic versions) oral epic (ge sar rgyal po) and intends to keep researching on that same field. In IU, Bloomington, Dr. Kordosis will be able to access new material for his current and future research plans and seek new perspectives from his conversations with CEUS’s experienced scholars.
