Konstantinos Stouraitis was born in Rhodes in 1991 and started playing the guitar at a young age. In 2009 he was accepted at the Department of Music of the Ionian University where he received his first training in jazz. In 2011, he joined Baby Trio, led by his music teacher and internationally acclaimed musician, George Kontrafouris, with whom he has performed extensively in Greece and in Europe and has recorded two albums. In 2014, he represented the Ionian University at the International Association of Jazz Schools with professor Dimos Dimitradis in Cape Town. He has collaborated on stage with numerous acknowledged musicians in Greece and abroad. By pursuing a graduate degree in New York, he intends to forge new professional relationships with international musicians and extend old ones, creating strong ties and a stream of educational and performers’ exchanges between Greece and the United States.
