November is a busy month for Fulbright Greece on the Road!
Fulbright Greece honors International Education Week – November 13-17, as an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.


Fulbright Greece in Patras
November 22, 2017

Fulbright Greece – Nicholas Tourides, Educational Advisor - is heading to Patras for a presentation on US Graduate Studies and the Fulbright Scholarship Program. Students and the general public will have a chance to hear about the application process and ask questions.

The presentation will be held at the Science and Technology Museum of the University.


Fulbright Greece in Athens

December 1, 2017

Fulbright Greece will participate in the Graduate Studies Abroad program of the Athens University of Economics and Business. Educational Advisor, Nicholas Tourides will talk about Graduate Studies in the U.S.A. and Greek Program Coordinator, Els Siakos Hanappe will present the Fulbright Scholarship program.

Presentations will be held at the Antoniadis Auditorium of the University at Patission 76.

Fulbright Greece participated in the annual Researcher’s Night with an information desk.


October 10, 2017

23rd U.S. University Fair
Fulbright Greece presented the 23rd U.S. University Fair at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Athens. Representatives and alumni from U.S. universities were available to offer information to students interested in studying in the United States. The annual event featured institutions from all across the U.S.A. and aimed to answer students’ questions about U.S. higher education in general as well as inquiries about particular institutions and programs.

Three presentations took place during the event:

· Undergraduate Studies in the U.S. - Christine Grenier, Director of First-Year Admission, Elmhurst College

· Graduate Studies in the U.S. – Nicholas Tourides, Fulbright Educational Advisor

· Fulbright Scholarships – Els Siakos Hanappe, Fulbright Greek Program Coordinator

Fulbright U.S. Students Sara Abdel-Rahim, Aaron Beck-Schachter, and HAEF Fellows Nick Barnette and Stephanie Burke Lewis, Greek Diaspora Fellow Dr. Nikolaos Poulopoulos and U.S. Scholar Dr. Joseph Kehayias joined the two panels.


Fulbright Greece in Thessaloniki

November 1 & 2, 2017
Fulbright Greece – Nicholas Tourides, Educational Advisor - headed to Thessaloniki for a series of presentations on US Graduate and Undergraduate Studies and the Fulbright Scholarship Program. Students and the general public had a chance to hear about the application process and ask questions. The sessions were organized with the cooperation of AHEPA Chapter HJ03 and the U.S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki.

Fulbright Greece in Ioannina
November 3, 2017

Fulbright Greece – Els Siakos Hanappe, Greek Program Coordinator – visited Ioannina for a presentation on U.S. Graduate Studies and the Fulbright Scholarship Program at the University of Ioannina. Students and alumni had a chance to hear about the application process and ask questions. The informative session was organized by the Career Office and took place at the auditorium of the Library and Information Centre.


Fulbright Greece in Athens

November 11 & 12, 2017

Fulbright Greece maintained an information desk at the 20th International Education and Career Fair held at Athinais Cultural Center (Kastorias 34-36, Votanikos, Athens). The Fair took place under the aegis of the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning & Religious Affairs, the Hellenic General Secretariat for Youth of the Ministry of Labour, the Municipality of Athens and the Municipality of Piraeus. Its purpose was to provide a direct, comprehensive and effective overview of the educational programs that public and private institutes offer in Greece and abroad on undergraduate and graduate level.
